Abstract:
According to the present invention, when connected to a portable device for communication, a smart ECU authenticates a communication partner by using a one-time authentication key pre-distributed to the portable device. When the one-time authentication key is expired, the portable device sends back, in response to a signal from the smart ECU, a signal indicating the expiration of the one-time authentication key. When a communication partner is present in a trunk and the authentication fails due to the expiration of the one-time authentication key, the smart ECU determines that an official portable device having a device ID of the communication partner is present in the trunk, and executes a confinement warning process.
