Abstract:
This vehicle ECU (100) is provided with: a road information acquisition unit (101); a required braking/driving force estimation unit (103) that estimates, on the basis of road information, required driving force and required braking force for traveling at a predetermined target speed; a regenerative energy amount prediction unit (105) that predicts the amount of regenerative energy to be recovered in a downhill road; and a travel schedule setting unit (104) that sets the operation of an engine (11) and the operation of a motor (13) on the basis of a predetermined control map. When the amount of regenerative energy that has been predicted to be recovered in a downhill road exceeds a predetermined threshold converted from the current remaining charge capacity of a battery (13b), the travel schedule setting unit (104) increases the driving force rate of the motor (13) for outputting required driving force in a flat road or uphill road preceding the downhill road so that said rate is higher than the rate that has been set on the basis of the control map.
