Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a vehicle control device that allows an improvement in collision damage reduction or avoidance performance, for example, for a vehicle in which the vehicle behavior during braking operation is greatly affected by the state of load (loaded state). The present invention comprises: a travelability determination unit 300 that determines whether or not a vehicle 1 can travel in regions ahead of the vehicle 1 on the left and right; a deflection estimation unit 200 that estimates deflection of the vehicle 1 due to the generation of a braking force on the vehicle 1; and a braking control unit 800 that calculates a deceleration and deceleration start timing on the basis of the distance and relative speed between the vehicle 1 and an obstacle ahead of the vehicle and changes the deceleration and/or deceleration start timing on the basis of the travelability determination result obtained from the travelability determination unit 300 and the deflection estimation result obtained from the deflection estimation unit 200.
