Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle control device S configured to control at least one of an engine E and a transmission T installed in a vehicle, the vehicle control device S being configured to execute a first step for determining whether or not the vehicle acceleration is less than a prescribed threshold value and a second step for executing, when the vehicle acceleration is determined to be less than the threshold value in the first step, a normal acceleration control for controlling at least one of the engine and the transmission such that the vehicle acceleration approaches a prescribed target steady acceleration which is less than the threshold value and which causes the vehicle to travel steadily, regardless of the accelerator opening.
