Abstract:
This vehicle control system is equipped with: a receiving unit for receiving an operation from a passenger of a given vehicle; an automatic driving control unit for executing an automatic driving mode for controlling the steering and acceleration/deceleration of the given vehicle when a prescribed operation is received by the receiving unit; and a mode control unit for prohibiting the automatic driving control unit from starting the automatic driving mode when the given vehicle reaches a prescribed section that includes a branching point, merging point and/or destination.
