Title:
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/220811
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A vehicle control system (1) comprises: a first actuator that performs at least any one of the driving, braking, or steering of an automobile; a first control unit (140) that performs travel control for the automobile by controlling the first actuator; a second actuator that performs at least any of the driving, braking, or steering of an automobile; a second control unit (240) that performs travel control for the automobile by controlling the second actuator; and a communication line (L1) running between the first control unit and the second control unit. The first control unit (140) determines whether or not the operating state of the first actuator fulfills a prescribed condition, and upon determining that the operating state of the first actuator fulfills the prescribed condition, limits the control of the first actuator more so than when the prescribed condition is determined to be unfulfilled, and transmits a prescribed signal to the second control unit (240) via the communication line (L1). The second control unit (240), upon receiving the prescribed signal from the first control unit (140) via the communication line (L1), controls the second actuator and thereby performs travel control for the automobile as an alternative to at least some of the functions of the first control unit (140).
