The present application discloses a vehicle door control system and a rail vehicle, a first detection device and a second detection device are respectively arranged outside each first door and each second door, a first signal is sent when a platform is arranged outside the first detection device, and a second signal is sent when the platform is arranged outside the second detection device, so that a controller determines the position of the platform according to the received first signal and the received second signal, and sends a first enabling signal or a second enabling signal according to the position of the platform, so that a first door control unit or a second door control unit corresponding to a vehicle door positioned on one side of the platform can be enabled, and only the first door control unit receiving a first door control signal, the first signal and the first enabling signal can control the corresponding first vehicle door to be opened; only the second door control unit receiving a second door control signal, the second signal and the second enabling signal can control the corresponding second door to open; the situation that the first vehicle door or the second vehicle door positioned outside the position of the platform is opened is avoided.
