A vehicle door inside handle device comprises: a handle base (1); operating members (5,11) that are pivotally mounted on the handle base (1) so as to be rotation-operable; and a cable device (3) having an inner cable (4) wherein one end is coupled to a door locking device (2) in the door body, and the other end is coupled to the operating members (5,11). The inner cable (4) and the operating members (5,11) are coupled by a coupling projecting portion (6) that is formed on the other end of the inner cable (4) and engages with a wire engaging hole (7) provided in the operating members (5,11). The operating members (5,11) are provided with a cable pressing portion (8) that restricts movement in a disengaging direction from the wire engaging hole (7) of the coupling projecting portion (6). The handle base (1) is provided with a guiding portion (9) that is disposed at a position displaced from the cable pressing portion (8). The cable pressing portion (8) and the guiding portion (9) cooperate, providing two-point support of the inner cable (4) at the displaced position, to restrict abnormal deformation of the inner cable (4), and prevent disengagement of the coupling projecting portion (6) from the wire engaging hole (7).
