Abstract:
In a vehicle door open/close operation apparatus such that a latch releasing operation is performed by a latch device through the operation of an operating member with a design cover, with which at least a part of an opening portion of a door can be closed and which can be opened by a manual operation, opened, the displacement of the design cover (24) from a closed position to an open position is detected by a detection switch (26), and a control unit implements user authentication in response to the detection of displacement of the design cover (24) by the detection switch (26). Thus, the door can be smoothly opened even when the operating member is quickly operated without requiring a re-operation of the operating member.
