Abstract:
The present invention relates to a vehicle glovebox locking apparatus, and more particularly, to a vehicle glovebox locking apparatus comprising: a body portion fixed to an inner surface of a glovebox frame installed at one side of an instrument panel of a vehicle, wherein the body portion defines a long hole into which a metal latch is inserted, and includes an actuator for electronically controlling a fixing frame to fix the metal latch on the fixing frame; and the metal latch installed at a position corresponding to the long hole of the body portion, on a side of a side frame of a glovebox case coupled to the glovebox frame. By thus installing a separate locking apparatus on a glovebox installed at one side of an instrument panel within a vehicle, according to the present invention, theft and loss of items stored in the glovebox can be prevented.
