Abstract:
A vehicle headlamp (1) comprises an image generating unit (20) that generates a low-beam image (21) by superimposing a low-beam mask image (31), which includes a light-shielding image (32) that has a lower edge (32ed) corresponding to a cut-off line (CL) of a light distribution pattern (PL) of low beam and zero brightness, on top of a low-beam base image (34) which becomes the low beam image (21) representing the light distribution pattern (PL) of low beam as a result of the superposition of the low-beam mask image (31), and a light source unit (12) that emits light based on the low-beam image (21), wherein the image generating unit (20) generates the low beam image (21) by superimposing the low-beam mask image (31) on the low-beam base image (34) and changing the low-beam mask image (31) so that a position (32EP) corresponding to an elbow point (EP) at the lower edge (32ed) of the light-shielding image (32) moves in a predetermined direction.
