Abstract:
A vehicle information acquisition device (20) has a determination unit (25), and a switching unit (26). The determination unit (25) determines, on the basis of at least first vehicle information which is part of acquired vehicle information, a non-active state indicating that a vehicle (10) is not active for a first time period, and, when it is determined that the vehicle (10) is in the non-active state, determines a communication stopped state indicating that communication is stopped for a predetermined period on a communication line (L1). The switching unit (26), when it is determined by the determination unit (25) that communication is in the communication stopped state, switches at least some of electronic parts in the vehicle information acquisition device (20) to a sleep state.
