Abstract:
A vehicle lighting system (1) comprising one or more light sources (2), a first light guide (3), and a second light guide (4).The one or more light sources (2) are arranged to emit light into the first light guide (3), the first light guide (3) is arranged to emit incident light from the one or more light sources (2) into the second light guide (4).The second light guide (4) is arranged to emit incident light from the first light guide (3).The first light guide (3) is arranged to redirect the incident light from the one or more light sources (2) from a first light flow direction (X) to a second light flow direction (Y),the second light guide (4) is arranged following the first light guide (3) in the second light flow direction (Y).The first light guide (3) comprises a first light input surface (3a) arranged to receive the incident light from the one or more light sources (2), a first light output surface (3b) arranged to emit the light received from the one or more light sources (2) through the first light input surface (3a), and a light reflection surface (3c) arranged to internally reflecting the incident light from the first light input surface (3a) toward the first light output surface (3b).The second light guide(4) comprises a second light input surface (4a) arranged to receive the incident light from the first light guide (3), and a second light output surface (4b) arranged to emit the light received through the second light input surface (4a). The second light output surface (4b) comprises a first light emitting surface section (4b1) in a first plane (P1) and a second light emitting surface section (4b2) in a second plane (P2), wherein the first plane (P1) and the second plane (P2) are arranged at a first angle in relation to each other.
