Abstract:

This vehicle-mounted network system is provided with an electronic control device, a plurality of gateway devices, and a plurality of sensor devices which each collect surrounding information being information relating to the surroundings of a vehicle, and is mounted in the vehicle. Each of the sensor devices communicates with the electronic control device via at least one gateway device, the electronic control device is provided with a mode management unit which determines any operation mode among a plurality of operation modes associated with a sensor device to be operated, and a sleep instruction control unit which specifies, on the basis of the operation mode determined by the mode management unit, a sensor relay-free gateway device that is the gateway device the sensor device connected to which does not operate, and causes the sensor relay-free gateway device to make a transition to a low-power state in which processing capability decreases. The gateway device is connected, not via another gateway device, to a plurality of sensor devices which do not operate in any same operation mode.
