Abstract:
A vehicle-mounted peripheral object notification system is provided with: a peripheral object detecting device (30) which detects an object present at the periphery of a vehicle; a notifying device (60) which notifies a driver of the presence of the object detected by the peripheral object detecting device; a line-of-sight detecting unit (S214 to S218) which successively detects the line of sight of the driver of the vehicle; and a notification control unit (S106 to S110, S202 to S212, S220, S222, S312 to S318 and S400) which defines a notification zone by excluding an awareness direction zone, determined on the basis of the line of sight detected by the line-of-sight detecting unit, from a standard notification zone determined on the basis of a zone of objects detected by the peripheral object detecting device, and which causes the notifying device to issue a notification regarding the presence of the object detected by the peripheral object detecting device, on the basis that the object is present within the notification zone.
