Abstract:
A permanent magnet DC motor and a vehicle seat using the motor. The motor comprises a housing (10) and a magnetic cylinder (20); the magnetic cylinder (20) is fixed to an inner cavity of the housing (10) to constitute a stator of the motor; the magnetic cylinder (20) is formed into an integral piece by means of an injection molding or pressing process; the magnetic cylinder (20) forms a plurality of sequentially connected magnetic poles by means of magnetizing, and two adjacent magnetic poles have opposite magnetic properties; the cross section of the magnetic cylinder (20) comprises a circular inner surface and an outer surface of a regular polygon; each magnetic pole has a maximum radial thickness at a middle location, and has a minimum radial thickness at the boundary with the adjacent magnetic pole. Compared with a motor in the prior art, the motor saves space and has smaller vibration and less noise when being mounted and used.
