Abstract:
This invention relates to a vehicle security system 10 and method 100 for a vehicle 16. The system 10 comprises detecting means in the form of at least one receiver 12 for detecting interference with a vehicle location tracking unit 14 which is fitted to the vehicle 16, and a controller 18 being in communication with the at least one receiver 12. The controller 18 is configured to activate at least one security function 20 of the vehicle 16 in response to a detected interference.
