Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is a vehicle starting power supply protection circuit, comprising a positive electrode connecting wire and a negative electrode connecting wire, wherein the positive electrode connecting wire is used for connecting a positive electrode of a vehicle starting power supply and a positive electrode of a vehicle battery, and the negative electrode connecting wire is used for connecting a negative electrode of the vehicle starting power supply and a negative electrode of the vehicle battery, and a starting switch, an anti-channeling element and a PTC thermistor are sequentially connected in series on the positive electrode connecting wire along the current flow direction. The present invention uses the positive temperature characteristic of a PTC thermistor to realize a short-circuit and overload protection function of a vehicle starting power supply, and has the features of a simple structure, a low cost and a high reliability. After a protection circuit is connected to a vehicle battery and when both ends of the protection circuit are short-circuited, the instantaneous short-circuit current thereof is large and promotes a PTC resistor to rapidly emit heat and makes the resistance sharply increase, and the increase of the PTC resistance causes the discharge current of the protection circuit to decrease sharply, thus achieving the aim of protecting a vehicle starting power supply.
