Title:
VEHICLE STEERING SHAFT-USE EXPANSION SHAFT AND LUBRICATING GREASE COMPOSITION OF THIS EXPANSION SHAFT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/069659
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A vehicle steering shaft-use expansion shaft which is built in the steering shaft
of a vehicle, allows a male shaft and a female shaft to be fitted to each other so
as not to rotatable but to be slidable each other, and transmits torque with the
outer peripheral surface of the male shaft and the inner peripheral surface of
the female shaft rotated in contact with each other, wherein a grease composition
having an apparent viscosity of 400-750Pa·s (at 25°C) at a shearing
rate of 10 sec-1 specified by JIS K2220 is sealed in the gap between the
outer peripheral surface of the male shaft and the inner peripheral surface of
the female shaft. The vehicle steering shaft-use expansion shaft does not require
additional working on the male and female shafts that may causes cost increases,
and integrally improves durability, resistance and stick-slip resistance.
