Abstract:
A vehicle theft preventing device includes: an immobilizer unit having an antenna, a communication unit, a data processing unit, and a storage unit; and a mobile unit. Mutual authentication is performed between the immobilizer unit and the mobile unit by using at least first mutual authentication data according to a sophisticated encrypted authentication method. After this, the first mutual authentication data or second mutual authentication data which is different from the first mutual authentication data is stored in the storage unit of the immobilizer unit and the storage unit of the mobile unit.
