Abstract:
A server (5) for a vehicle user merge support system comprises: a merge schedule setting unit (22) that, in accordance with a user application, sets a merge plan including a merge point P for a ride share vehicle 10 and a user, a merge time, a vehicle route Rv to the merge point P for the ride share vehicle 10, and a user route Ry to the merge point P for the user; a notification unit (21) that notifies a vehicle terminal 3 and a user terminal 2 about information pertaining to the merge plan; and a merge route setting unit 25 that, on the basis of estimation results from position estimation units (24, 23) that estimate the ride share vehicle 10 position and the user position, predicts the predicted arrival time at the merge point P by the ride share vehicle 10 and the user and sets a merge route Rm along the vehicle route Rv or the user route Ry, for either the ride share vehicle 10 or the user, whichever has a later estimated arrival time. The notification unit (21) notifies the vehicle terminal 3 and the user terminal 2 about the merge route Rm.
