Abstract:
A seal device (17b) of this vehicle wheel bearing unit (1) includes a leakage preventing seal lip (41) and a scattering preventing seal lip (47). The end of the leakage preventing seal lip is in a sliding contact with the axially inner side surface of a rotation-side flange (9a) so as to have tightening interference over the entity of the circumference. The axially intermediate portion of the scattering preventing seal lip is provided radially outside a non-differentiable portion (22a) which exists between the axially inner side surface of a thick portion (19a) and the axially inner side surface of a thin portion in a state where the axially intermediate portion radially overlaps with the non-differentiable portion.
