Abstract:
A vehicle provided with a communication unit has a control unit that can measure the distance between the communication unit and a portable communication unit registered to said communication unit, by means of radio wave intensity in wireless communication between the communication unit of the vehicle and the portable communication unit. A control unit determines whether or not the distance changes over time after an emergency state of the vehicle, in which the state of a predetermined tilt angle continues, has been detected on the basis of a detection signal from a detection unit. Upon determining that the distance has not changed, the control unit performs a determination of severity based on the positional relationship between the vehicle and the portable communication unit, and outputs determination information indicating the result of determining the severity of the emergency state.
