Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a vehicular airbag device capable of minimizing occupant injury values. [Solution] A vehicular airbag device 100 that comprises: an inflator 112; and an airbag cushion 104 that inflates and deploys between a steering wheel 106 and an occupant 105. The airbag cushion 104 includes: an occupant-side panel 114 that deploys to the occupant side and restrains the occupant 150; a vehicle-side panel 116 that is disposed on the opposite side to the occupant-side panel 114; and side panels 118 that connect the occupant-side panel 114 and the vehicle-side panel 116 and constitute the side surfaces of the airbag cushion 104. The side panels 118 comprise a plurality of sub-panels 130. A base material weft 158 that constitutes a central section E1 of the sub-panels 130 extends in a virtual plane S2 that follows the occupant side of the rim 107 of a steering wheel 106 when the airbag cushion 104 is inflated and deployed.
