Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, OTA clients 7 use a circuit at a communication carrier to wirelessly communicate with a center device 2 and thereby acquire update data for writing to a plurality of ECUs 6. A communication information acquisition unit 12 uses wireless communication to acquire information about the communication carrier and information about the region in which the center device 2 is located. A database 11 stores a plurality of communication clients that respectively correspond to different distribution servers 23(1)–23(3). On the basis of the information acquired by the communication information acquisition unit 12, an OTA vendor switching control unit 10 selects and activates OTA clients 7 that correspond to the communication carrier and the abovementioned region from the database 11 and thereby makes it possible for data to be communicated with the distribution servers 23.
