Abstract:
According to the present disclosure, a smart key and a mobile terminal store key information for use in authentication with a vehicle, and function as a key (key device) of the vehicle. The smart key and the mobile terminal each use BLE communications to implement communications for authentication and the like with a vehicle-mounted system. The smart key (2) basically operates in a sleep mode that disables the BLE communications so as to reduce power consumption. Upon receipt of a wake signal periodically transmitted from the vehicle, the smart key (2) transitions to a state that is capable of the BLE communications. When detecting that a mobile terminal (3) is present within a predetermined distance of the vehicle, the vehicle-mounted system (1) stops the periodic transmission of the wake signal.
