Provided is a ventilation system which performs exhaust ventilation, and with which it is possible to suppress diffusion of air containing infectious droplets or the like resulting from a person infected with an infectious disease, while continuing ventilation in all living rooms. To this end, the ventilation system comprises: an exhaust device (10) that is provided in a shared part; a notification device (50) for providing notification to staying persons in the living rooms; and a control device (40) for controlling the exhaust device (10) and the notification device (50). In a second control, the control device: identifies a target living room in which a target person is present; causes the notification device (50) to provide notification for prompting adjustment of the opening degree of a window of the living room such that the total amount of ventilation in a building exceeds the total amount in a first control, and the amount of ventilation in each of the living rooms other than the target living room exceeds the ventilation amount in the target living room; and controls the operation of the exhaust device (10).
