Provided in the present invention are a vertical beam assembly for a refrigerator door body, and a refrigerator. A hollow part is formed at the end part of a vertical beam body in the length direction thereof. The telescopic structure moves in the length direction of the vertical beam body so as to extend out of the hollow part or retract into the hollow part. A rotating shaft is rotatably arranged in the vertical beam body. The rotating shaft is configured to rotatably arrange the vertical beam body on the refrigerator door body. The peripheral wall of the rotating shaft is provided with at least one guide part extending in the circumferential direction and the axial direction thereof. A linkage assembly is arranged inside the vertical beam body and is configured to be capable of moving in the length direction of the vertical beam body, so that the telescopic structure can extend out of the hollow part or retract into the hollow part. The linkage assembly is provided with at least one limiting pin, and the at least one limiting pin is arranged in the at least one guide part in a one-to-one correspondence manner. As the refrigerator door body opens and closes, the telescopic structure naturally extends or retracts to prevent airflow.
