A vertical correction method and apparatus for a panoramic image, and an electronic device and a storage medium. The method comprises: acquiring a panoramic image to be processed; performing straight line segment extraction on said panoramic image, so as to obtain a straight line segment set, wherein the included angle between each straight line segment in the straight line segment set and the current vertical direction of said panoramic image is smaller than a preset angle; respectively mapping each straight line segment in the straight line segment set to a unit ball where said panoramic image is located, so as to obtain a target point set; determining an equatorial plane on the basis of the target point set and the center of the unit ball; determining a vertical correction matrix on the basis of the equatorial plane and a unit vector in the current vertical direction; and performing vertical correction on said panoramic image by using the vertical correction matrix, so as to obtain a target panoramic image.
