Abstract:
Disclosed is a vertical transport system having a brake function for preventing a free fall. The vertical transport system comprises: a fixed part extending in the vertical direction; a moving part which is coupled to the fixed part so as to be movable relative to same, and which moves in the vertical direction along the fixed part; an elastic part which is coupled to the moving part and provides a force that pushes or pulls in the vertical direction due to an elastic force; a weight which is placed on top of the elastic part or hangs from the elastic part; and a brake operation part which is driven on the basis of a relative position change between the moving part and the weight occurring due to the moving part descending at a higher acceleration than a reference.
