Abstract:
This vibration body comprises an electromechanical conversion element which is a piezoelectric ceramic composed of sodium niobate/potassium metal oxide, wherein the absolute value of the temperature characteristics of the relative dielectric constant over the temperature range of from -40°C to 170°C is 500 (ppm/°C) or less; and vibration waves are generated by means of the excitation of the electromechanical conversion element. This vibration wave motor comprises: this vibration body; and a relative motion member which has a sliding surface that is brought into pressure contact with a driving surface of the vibration body, and which is relatively moved by the vibration waves.
