Abstract:
A vibration control device (18) according to the present invention comprises: a sheet-shaped elastic member (17) that has elasticity and can deform so as to be in contact with a structure surface in which vibration occurs; and a retention member (16) that retains the elastic member (17) and causes the same to be in close contact with the structure surface. The retention member (16) is partially fixed, at a prescribed distance from the structure surface. While retained between the retention member (16) and the structure surface, the elastic member (17) is in contact with the structure surface, without being fixed thereto. The vibration control device (18) is applied, for example, to a hermetic compressor. A hermetic container (1a) of the hermetic compressor is the structure, and the vibration control device (18) is provided to an inner surface of the hermetic container (1a).
