Abstract:

This vibration damping device includes: a support member that rotates integrally with a rotation element about the rotational center of the rotation element to which torque is transmitted from an engine; a restoring force generation member that is connected to the support member so as to transfer the torque with the support member and that is swingable following rotation of the support member; and an inertial mass body that is coupled to the support member with the restoring force generation member therebetween and that swings around the rotational center interlockingly with the restoring force generation member following the rotation of the support member, wherein the restoring force generation member swings about a swing center defined so as to keep a relative position unchanged with respect to the inertial mass body, and the distance between the gravity center of the restoring force generation member and the swing center changes in accordance with the change of the swing angle of the restoring force generation member with respect to the inertial mass body.
