Abstract:
Disclosed is a vibration generating device 100 comprising: an electromagnet 60 constituted by including a coil 63 and a magnetic core 61 around which the coil 63 is wound; a permanent magnet 70; a housing 10 to which one of the electromagnet 60 and the permanent magnet 70 is fixed; and an elastic body 40 on which the other of the electromagnet 60 and the permanent magnet 70 is held. The vibration generating device generates vibration by causing the electromagnet 60 and the permanent magnet 70 to move relative to one another by passing a current through the coil 63. The housing 10 has a polyhedric structure made of a sheet material, includes a first face 11a in which a gap part 15 is provided and another face 11b to which an extension part 13 is provided, and includes a reinforcement part 17 that is fitted into the gap part 15 and that is formed by extending the extension part 13 from the other face 11b toward the direction of the first face 11a and making the extension part flush with the first face 11a.
