Abstract:

A vibration generating device (1) comprises: a vibrating body (400) having a rod-like shape; a case (301) in which a portion of the vibrating body (400) is housed; a magnet (303) and a yoke (302) which are provided to either one of a portion of the vibrating body (400) or an inner portion of the case (301); and a coil (308) which is provided, near the magnet (303) and the yoke (302), to the other of the portion of the vibrating body (400) and the inner portion of the case (301). Another portion of the vibrating body (400) exposed to the outside of the case (301) and an outer portion of the case (301) are connected so as to come close to or divert from each other via an elastic member. A force that is generated by means of current flowing through the coil (308) and a magnetic flux generated by the magnet (303) and the yoke (302), and that acts in the extension direction of the vibrating body (400), is used to cause the vibrating body (400) and the case (301) to come close to or divert from each other so that vibration is generated.
