Provided are a vibration motor and a portable device. The vibration motor comprises: a housing comprising an upper cover (1) and lower housing (2), which are interconnected, and the housing being internally provided with a cavity (102); a vibration system disposed inside the cavity (102) and comprising an oscillator and a spring tab (7), the oscillator being provided with a magnetic gap (501); the spring tab (7) has a fixing part (701) and a plurality of cantilevers (702); the middle of the fixing part (701) is provided with a through-hole (703); the cantilevers (702) are arranged extending along the central axis of the fixing part (701) in a spiral shape; furthermore, the cantilevers (702) gradually expand; the fixing part (701) is fixedly connected to the oscillator, and the ends of the cantilevers (702) are fixedly connected to the housing; and a coil (8) arranged in the cavity (102), one end of the coil (8) being fixedly connected to the lower housing (2) and the other end of the coil (8) being inserted in the magnetic gap (501). The cantilevers (702) of the spring tab (7) of the vibration motor are directly fixedly connected to the housing, reducing the polarization of the vibration motor.
