Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of video coding and decoding. Provided are a video decoding method and apparatus, a video coding method and apparatus, a device, and a storage medium. The decoding method comprises: decoding a code stream so as to obtain a binary symbol string of string length information of the current string; performing inverse binarization processing on the binary symbol string according to a string length resolution of the current string, so as to obtain the string length information; and determining the string length of the current string according to the string length information. By means of the present application, the lengths of pixel strings in coding and decoding blocks can be limited to a multiple of a string length resolution, thereby improving the uniformity of the pixel strings, such that coding and decoding ends can perform coding and decoding under the condition of memory alignment, thus improving the coding and decoding efficiency of the pixel strings. In addition, by taking the impact of a string length resolution on the coding and decoding of string length information into consideration, the present application provides a method for performing binarization processing and inverse binarization processing on string length information. The method improves coding and decoding modes for string length information under different string length resolutions, thereby facilitating the improvement of the coding and decoding performance.
