Abstract:
When network parameters are to be adaptively switched in their entirety, it is difficult to switch the parameters in units of small blocks such as CTUs. There is also the problem that successively performing ALF classification and filtering in parallel with ALF after performing NN filtering takes time for processing. Selecting an NN model in a slice header and selecting a fine-tuned network layer in a CTU makes it possible to adaptively select an NN model even in units of small blocks. Carrying out ALF classification with a pre-NN-filtering image and then carrying out ALF processing using a post-NN filtering process image and ALF class information makes it possible to carry out an NN filtering process and ALF classification in parallel.
