Abstract:
Provided are a video encoding method and device and a video decoding method and device, capable of retaining more original image information and having a higher compression rate as compared with the prior art. The video encoding method comprises: acquiring an original video, the original video comprising at least one frame of first image, the first image being an image in a Bayer RGB format; converting a pixel value of the first image to generate an at least Y component image in a YUV image corresponding to the first image; and encoding the at least Y-component image in the YUV image to form a code stream of the original video. In embodiments, by converting the first image in the Bayer RGB format of the original video to generate the at least one Y component image in the YUV image corresponding to the first image, the loss of original image information caused by processing, such as demosaicing, is avoided; and encoding can be performed using a mainstream encoding method, without being restricted by a closed ecosystem, thereby achieving a large compression rate and facilitating the transmission and storage of code streams.
