Abstract:
Provided is a video monitoring apparatus, wherein additional information can be superimposed efficiently onto monitoring camera video. The video monitoring apparatus of the present invention stores image specifying information for specifying an image to be picked up by a camera, and additional information, in association with each other. When superimposing additional information onto an image, a search is conducted for additional information the distance of which to the image fits within a prescribed range, and additional information that can fit into the image currently being picked up by the camera, among additional information that were found as a result of the search, is superimposed onto the camera image.
