Abstract:

Continuous reproduction conforming to the intention of the content creator is realized. A reproduction control section (206) reproduces a video content previously recorded on an recording medium. A script control section (202) interprets and executes a script program including an event handler executed when an event occurs. A data storage section (212) has an area where stored is backup information on the reproduction status which is information used for carrying out continuous reproduction continuing with the last time of the video content reproduced in the past. The script control section (202) gives an instruction to carry out continuous reproduction of the video content according to the information on the reproduction status (232) when an event occurs in the reproduction control section (206).
