Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide new video projection technology. This technology provides a video projection device equipped with: a pupil information acquisition unit that acquires the area or size of a pupil; and an output control unit that controls output of video display light to be collected in the vicinity of the pupil and applied to a retina on the basis of the area or size of the pupil acquired by the pupil information acquisition unit. This technology also provides a video projection method comprising: a pupil information acquisition step for acquiring the area or size of a pupil; an output control step for controlling output of video display light to be collected in the vicinity of the pupil and applied to a retina on the basis of the area or size of the pupil acquired in the pupil information acquisition step; and a video display light output step for applying the video display light to the retina with the output controlled in the output control step.
