Abstract:
A video recording device (1) stores video data in a storage region formed in a storage medium (3). A storage control unit (41) stores video files containing the video data by overwriting the video files onto a plurality of recording files which are stored in each of a predetermined plurality of data regions. By referring to address information indicating the locations of the plurality of data regions in the storage region, a determination unit (42) determines whether the recording files exist in each of the plurality of data regions. A generation unit (43) regenerates new recording-use files and stores them in the data region where it has been determined by the determination unit that the recording files do not exist.
