Embodiments of the present application relate to the field of terminals, and provide a video recording method and apparatus, and a storage medium. The method is applied to a terminal device comprising a first camera, and comprises: the terminal device displays a first interface of a camera application, wherein the first interface comprises a first window and a second window, the first window displays a first picture captured by a first camera, the second window displays a second picture, and the second picture is a part of the first picture; at a first moment, when the terminal device detects that the first picture comprises a first object at a first position, the second picture comprises the first object; and at a second moment, when the terminal device detects that the first picture comprises the first object at a second position, the second picture comprises the first object, wherein the second moment is later than the first moment. In this way, the terminal device can perform focus tracking display on the first object, to obtain an additional focus tracking video corresponding to the first object while recording a video, thereby reducing subsequent editing operations on the first object, and improving the editing efficiency.
