Abstract:
[Problem] To contribute to the implementation of a work flow that enables compatibility between HDR video and SDR video.
[Solution] This video signal processing device is provided with an HDR video generation unit comprising a first transformation unit which defines the expression range of an input signal level of SDR video as 100%, and using a power function that finds, with 100% defined as 1, the 1.2th power of an input signal level of HDR video in a range from a point of 0% to a change point arbitrarily set in a range of 100-500%, and a linear function that multiplies the input signal level of the HDR video in a range higher than the change point by a predetermined coefficient such that the rate of change of a calculation result in the portion of the change point found using the power function is maintained, performs OOTF transformation of the HDR video.
