Abstract:
The present invention relates to a virtual gauge-based plant monitoring system and method. In addition, the present invention comprises: capturing units which are installed at multiple locations in a plant so as to capture at least one plant equipment; an image analysis unit which receives image data captured by the capturing units, identifies measuring devices of the plant equipment from the received image data and extracts measurement values, and then generates a measurement data packet which contains the extracted measurement values and is transmittable to a non-secure area; and a virtual gauge visualization unit which receives the measurement data packet in the non-secure area, visualizes, on the basis of the measurement data packet, virtual gauges corresponding to the measuring devices of the plant equipment, and displays the measurement values in real-time on the visualized virtual gauges. Thus, through the visualized virtual gauges on a server in the non-secure area, the statuses or measurement values of all the plant equipment may be collectively monitored.
