Abstract:
Provided is a viscous aqueous composition having excellent transparency and thickening property as well as excellent ability to emulsify an oily raw material or an excellent viscosity-maintaining effect when blended with a water-miscible organic solvent. A viscous aqueous composition according to an embodiment contains (a) anion-modified cellulose fibers that include a monoamine (A) including an anionic group that forms a salt with monoamine and having an organic value of 200 or higher in the organic conceptual diagram as the monoamine and a monoamine (B) having an organic value of less than 200, and (b) water.
