Disclosed is a voice collection device and a home appliance. The device comprises a microphone assembly. The microphone assembly comprises a microphone cover and a microphone. The microphone cover is provided with a microphone hole and a sound chamber that are interconnected. The diameter of the microphone hole is smaller than that of the sound chamber. The microphone is accommodated in the sound chamber, and there is a cavity between the microphone and the microphone hole that limits a frequency resonance point of the microphone to a pitch frequency range of a male or a female voice. The voice collection device provided by an embodiment of the present invention limits the frequency resonance point of the microphone to a pitch frequency range of a male or a female voice by configuring a sound chamber for the microphone, and uses a sound chamber resonance method to amplify speech volume severalfold, while the signal and noise of other frequencies are amplified less or attenuated, so as to greatly increase the gain of a voice signal, thereby increasing voice recognition distance, control distance of a voice control device, and improving the convenience of voice control.
