Abstract:
A voice output method that is executed by a voice output system that includes a first terminal, a server, and a second terminal. The method is characterized in that the first terminal executes a first label assignation step in which label data that indicate the attributes of speakers for the reading of character strings included in content in synthetic voices are assigned to the character strings and a transmission step in which the label data are transmitted to the server, the server executes a storage step in which the label data transmitted from the first terminal are associated with content identification information that identifies the content and stored in a database, and the second terminal executes an acquisition step in which the label data that correspond to the content identification information for the content are acquired from the server, a second label assignation step in which the acquired label data are assigned to the character strings included in the content, a specification step in which the label data assigned to each character string included in the content is used to specify, from a plurality of voice data, voice data for a synthetic voice that is to be used for the reading of the character string, and a voice output step in which voice is outputted such that each character string included in the content is read in a synthetic voice that uses the specified voice data.
