Abstract:
A volumetric cloud rendering method and apparatus, and a program and a readable medium. The method comprises: drawing at least one layer of mesh model outward from an original mesh model of volumetric clouds according to a vertex normal vector (S11); on the basis of a noise threshold value corresponding to each layer of mesh model, screening pixel points of the mesh model, so as to obtain a drawing model (S12); calculating illumination information corresponding to the drawing model according to illumination parameters (S13); and rendering the drawing model according to the illumination information, so as to obtain a volumetric cloud to be displayed (S14). In the technical solution, the shape of a volumetric cloud is determined on the basis of a mesh model, rather than by means of the shape of a noise pattern; and in order to change the shape of a volumetric cloud, only the number of additionally drawn layers and a noise threshold value for screening pixel points need to be set, without the need to pre-select a specific noise pattern, thereby reducing the number of times that a noise pattern is used, and further reducing the performance overheads of generating volumetric clouds, such that the volumetric clouds can smoothly operate on a mobile terminal device.
